Velo ("we", "our", "the app") is an IPTV player for Android TV and mobile devices. This policy describes how we handle information when you use Velo. The short version: we don't collect anything.
Information We Do Not Collect
Velo does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
- We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not track your viewing habits, search history, or usage patterns.
- We do not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking tools.
- We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties.
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
Velo stores the following data locally on your device to provide app functionality. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync:
- IPTV service credentials — your server URL, username, and password for connecting to your IPTV provider. These are stored in the app's private storage and are never transmitted to Velo or any third party.
- Favorites and library data — your favorite channels, watch progress, saved items, and followed series.
- App preferences — settings such as your default start screen, hidden categories, and display preferences.
- User profiles — profile names and preferences for multi-user households.
Google Drive Cloud Sync (Optional)
If you choose to enable Cloud Sync, Velo stores a sync file in your personal Google Drive account to synchronize your favorites, library, and preferences across your devices. This feature is entirely optional.
- The sync file is stored in a "Velo" folder in your Google Drive.
- Only you have access to this file through your Google account.
- Velo does not have access to any other files in your Google Drive.
- Your IPTV credentials are never included in the sync file.
- You can disconnect Cloud Sync and delete the sync file at any time from Settings.
Google Play Billing
Velo uses Google Play Billing for subscription management. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, billing address, or financial data.
Permissions
Velo requests the following Android permissions:
- Internet — required to stream content from your IPTV provider.
- GET_ACCOUNTS — used only for Google Drive Cloud Sync to list Google accounts on your device. This permission is not used if Cloud Sync is disabled.
Children's Privacy
Velo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Content available through the app is determined by your IPTV provider, not by Velo.
Third-Party Services
Velo connects to IPTV servers that you configure. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of your IPTV provider. The app also uses the following Google services when you opt in:
- Google Play Billing — for subscription management
- Google Drive API — for optional cloud sync
Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all Velo data at any time by:
- Clearing the app's data from Android Settings
- Uninstalling the app
- Disconnecting and deleting Cloud Sync data from Settings within the app
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
